Wish the ACLU a Merry Christmas!
By Bryan | December 5, 2007
The ACLU is so determined to remove God from everything, even Christmas, so why not send them a nice Merry Christmas card to remind them of the season and what it is all about. I just sent my Christmas card to them today, and if you need the address, here you go:
ACLU
125 Broad Street
18th Floor
New York, NY 10004
Please consider doing this not just as a sign of your love for your faith, but also to help them see what they are really doing. Imagine them getting an influx of mail. It would freeze the company, since they wouldn’t know if it was regular mail with contributions in it or just another Merry Christmas card. So spend the 41 cents and help fight the ACLU and their total disregard for the season.

you do realize that Christmas was originally a holiday celebrating Winter Solstice, and also from the Roman side, celebrating Sol Invictus.
In fact, St. Nicholas was the main focus of the holiday (since it was his feast day), and only later did church leaders suggest promoting Christ as the important figure since Ole Nick was getting more popular and recognition.
I don’t think the ACLU is trying to suppress Christmas, and what is wrong with wishing people a Happy Holidays? If you were Jewish wouldn’t you like to be included? What about the other religions that have holidays during this time? What’s wrong with including them in wishing them a good time at their celebrations?
Are we really so backwards these days that our basic response is just shy of what the Protestants felt towards the Catholics (and vice versa) during the Hundred Years Wars?
I’d think as Christians we’ve matured a bit and don’t feel the need to call out Social Inquisitions by insisting that EVERYONE say Merry Christmas (instead of Happy Holidays) or it makes you a dirty hippy, damned Commie, or Moonbat Liberal (take your pick).
Instead of reacting to everything you hear/read/see why not trying to act first and learn about what’s really going on. Jumping like a puppet every time BillO, etal, farts makes it hard for you to retain credibility.

Sure, this may have started as another celebration, but Christians’ all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas night. I say Merry Christmas because that is what it means to me and my fellow Christians. I warmly wish others Happy Holidays if I know they are of different religions.
I am not trying to force anything here, it is the ACLU that is trying to force God out of the day of Christmas. It would be like taking away the meaning Hanukkah to the Jewish people or Kwanzaa for the American American community. They are celebrating freely on days that they want, so why can’t Christians? I don’t care if it is a national holiday or not.
With separation of Church and state in our government, why do all government officials and offices have off on Christmas day, which is the day of celebration for the birth of Jesus? Take that away, I don’t care. But you better give all Christians off that day for religious protection, just like any other religion.
Finally, I am not reacting to anything here. I am saying to simply start a form of passive resistance to fight for what we believe in. Do you question the ACLU for when they come after my religion? I know all about the ACLU and what they do. It happened in my hometown, a small little community who had to fight a stupid, expensive legal battle for what the citizens wanted. The town won in the end after wasting tons of the town’s limited resources, so yes, I am not a fan of the ACLU in one bit. That is my opinion and they just fight pointless battles because one person out of ten thousands whines a little bit.
